The CIG is pleased to announce that its annual seminar  and AGM  will be held in the North Training Room, Berkeley Library, TCD on Feb 25th  (10am-4pm). The theme this year is Describing the Digital Object and the intention is to give an overview of the challenges facing cataloguers  working in resource description in the digital age. The LAI Cataloguing and Indexing Group is pleased to announce a one day training course on Dewey. It is will be of benefit primarily to anyone who already has some familiarity with DDC and would like a review of its basic structure and application.

Presenter Keith Trickey: Keith is a part time Senior Lecturer at Liverpool John Moores University and a freelance trainer. He has been involved in information work for over 20 years and has been designing and delivering training for over ten years. Keith has established a reputation as a trainer who makes the most obtuse subjects both available and enjoyable for his audiences.
