It’s Fine! Overdue Library Books Amnesty. Galway Library Service is seeking out its overdue books and wants them back. From Monday 16th November to Saturday 28th November an amnesty on fines will be in place which means that no fines will be charged on overdue Library Material returned to any Public Library in Galway City or County. Library Material may be handed into any Library during normal opening hours or into Book Drops (where they are provided) 24/7. We want to restore these Library Books to the library shelves so that a new generation of readers can enjoy them. This is a once off chance as from Monday 30th November the full rigours of the fine system will be enforced.
