Musical Tales: Contemporary Irish Music Exhibition at the Contemporary Music Centre

CMC will hold an exhibition entitled Musical Tales in the Library from 16 November-4 December 2015. This exhibition will focus on four books from the library's collection written by or about Irish composers. Scores and recordings of the musical works that are featured in the books will be on display, and visitors will be encouraged to explore the collection further. There will also be concert programmes and other ephemera relating to the musical works. The books will also be available to buy from the CMC Shop. On 26 November and 4 December, there will be two lunchtime concerts in Dublin City Libraries also entitled Musical Tales, and also featuring these four books and musical works from each, curated by Mark Fitzgerald, author of two of the books. The event on 26 November takes place in the Music Library in the Central Library, ILAC Centre at 1pm and Rathmines Library is the venue for 4 December (1pm). Come along to the exhibition and find out more about the works before hearing them in concert! The exhibition will open from 10am-5.30pm Monday to Friday for the three weeks.
