The Public libraries conference runs from the 5th – 7th November in the Tullamore Court Hotel, Tullamore, County Offaly. The theme this year is “L is for Library”: Literacy and learning in modern public Library spaces.
The theme ties in with many of the issues raised in ‘Opportunities For All’ and includes strategic aspects of managing public libraries from recent government initiatives. Speakers include representatives from the LGMA, children’s authors, children’s services librarians, county librarians and many more. There is also a chance to hear from outside organisations such as Imaginosity and Belfast W5 on how they created spaces for children to learn.
