Cathy Rentzenbrink in conversation with Patricia Forde

In the first of a series of online ‘conference’ sessions, presented by
the Library Association of Ireland (LAI) Public Libraries’ Section,
author Cathy Rentzenbrink talks to fellow-writer Patricia Forde about
the central role of books in their lives and in society in general.
Cathy Rentzenbrink is the author of the Sunday Times bestselling
memoir “The Last Act of Love”, which was shortlisted for the Welcome
Book Prize and selected for the Richard and Judy Book Club, A Manual
for Heartache and, most recently, “Dear Reader”.
Patricia Forde is a writer from Galway. She writes for children of all
ages. Her first novel “The Wordsmith” was published to great critical
acclaim in 2015 and she has recently published a sequel entitled “Mother
Tongue”. A former director of Galway International Arts Festival she is
currently Chairperson of Children’s Books Ireland.
